🐬 What is DolphinBall and FlippaBall?
The club’s junior entry programs are on friday afternoons, and designed to give children a safe, fun introduction to the sport. We provide a social atmosphere for parents and children, along with drinks and food avaiable:
• DolphinBall (Years 1–2): A learn-to-play program using shallow water and modified rules for the youngest players. It focuses on water confidence, coordination, and teamwork in a fun, low-pressure setting. Make sure you can stand in the shallow end.
Through fun games and interactive actvities they start to build confidence in the water. These are conducted Friday Afternoons, 4:30pm - 5:15pm, followed by a sausage sizzle.
• FlippaBall (Years 3–8): The next step up, FlippaBall teaches the basics of passing, positioning, and simple game play. It’s designed to be accessible for children with basic swimming skills and introduces the structure of a water polo match.
Flippaball games are coached and refed by our Junior State Team Dolphins, games are every Friday between 4:30PM and 6:30 PM, followed by a sausage sizzle, fixtures come out prior to the start of term 4.
Training will be for an hour, with time, date and location provided before the start of the season.
Both programs run during school summer terms 4 & 1 and are open to all skill levels.
